The brand name “LaRiSa” draws inspiration from the Lahaul region of Himachal Pradesh, translating to “Above the Mountains and Earth.” This ethos is reflected in their commitment to blending luxury with sustainability. Since launching its first 11-key property in Mussoorie in 2019, the company has expanded its footprint across key tourism hubs, including Shimla, Goa, and Uttarakhand. Larisa operates under four versatile business models: Leasehold, Revenue Share, Managed Properties, and Sales & Marketing. This flexible approach allows for high operational standards and efficient revenue generation. In a major strategic move in late 2024, the company acquired 22 properties from AMHK LLP and Absolute Hospitality Services, incorporating the AM Hotel Kollection brand into its portfolio.
Currently, the company manages 25 operational properties (715 keys) across brands like 8fold by Larisa, Larisa Homes, and AM Hotel Kollection, with a robust pipeline of 10 upcoming properties (291 keys). As of 29 December 2025, the company had 236 full-time employees on its payroll.
